Robert L. Sandelman, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sandelman heads the Los Angeles area office of Sandelman. In his role as CEO, he is responsible for the company’s overall strategic direction and planning, and manages the development of new research programs.

Mr. Sandelman has more than 35 years of marketing and advertising management experience in a variety of consumer product and service industries. He is considered to be one of the leading experts on foodservice market research and is widely quoted in major publications including The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, USA Today, Advertising Age and more. Mr. Sandelman has also been a speaker at several foodservice industry forums and conferences.

Mr. Sandelman’s marketing career began at General Foods Corp. At Procter & Gamble he served as an assistant brand manager, then moved to Hunt-Wesson Foods as marketing manager in the new products division. After a stint as a consultant, Sandelman joined Ogilvy & Mather as vice president, management supervisor. He left for General Consumer Electronics Inc., where he was vice president of marketing and later joined keye/donna/pearlstein advertising agency where he was the vice president, management supervisor. Mr. Sandelman founded Sandelman in 1988.

Mr. Sandelman earned both a bachelor’s and an MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan.

Jeffrey T. Davis, Chief Operating Officer
As COO at Sandelman, Mr. Davis sets the tone and direction of the company.

Before joining Sandelman in 1993, Mr. Davis was senior vice president, director of agency operations at Lord, Dentsu & Partners advertising agency. At Lord Dentsu, Mr. Davis directed the administration of the full-service agency and, during his tenure, restructured operations to improve client service and increase profitability. He also managed 20 percent of the agency’s billings for clients such as Kentucky Fried Chicken, Dole, Nissin, Sanyo and Security Pacific Bank. As head of the KFC account, Mr. Davis was in charge of KFC’s western regional advertising program where he supervised the development and execution of the marketing plans for local KFC co-ops.

Mr. Davis graduated cum laude from the University of Utah where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Beverly Cain, President
Ms. Cain is responsible for the overall management of Sandelman’s day-to-day activities. Ms. Cain supervises the firm’s syndicated and proprietary research studies and leads a team to develop new research studies.

Prior to joining Sandelman in 2009, Ms. Cain worked for Morey Evans Advertising, where she served as CFO, research director and account supervisor on several key accounts during her long tenure at the agency. As account supervisor on the Quiznos account, she was instrumental in guiding the chain to national media, developing consumer research for new products and helping the chain successfully navigate its first exponential growth and renovation. At Morey Evans she also directed research for other fast-food restaurant chains, such as Qdoba and Good Times. Prior to her agency experience, Ms. Cain created systems for inventory management, operational audits and accounting for a clothing retailer in Chicago; and worked in all aspects of sourcing, marketing and management for a consumer product manufacturer in Denver.

Ms. Cain graduated from Olivet Nazarene University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Blayne Howser, Research Analyst
Ms. Howser’s responsibilities include the analysis, reporting, and presentation of Quick-Track and Casual-Track syndicated research studies.

With over 15 years of consumer insights experience, Ms. Howser's career spans the restaurant, retail, and educational service sectors. Before joining the Sandelman team in 2016, she served as senior director, guest relations & insights for American Blue Ribbon Holdings, LLC. In this position, she was responsible for the direction of primary and syndicated research partnerships, team member engagement measurement and reporting, and the direction of a guest relations team supporting over 600 restaurant locations. Ms. Howser’s prior experience includes directing operations for a major retailer and an online learning company. Her career began with a McDonald's franchise in middle TN and southern KY.

Ms. Howser received a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. She and her husband John live in Nashville, TN.

Roberta Long, Senior Research Manager
Ms. Long heads the Atlanta area office of Sandelman, where she is responsible for managing selected proprietary research projects and analyzing the results of key research studies.

Before joining Sandelman, Ms. Long work for AFC Enterprises where she managed the consumer research department at Church’s Chicken. While at Church’s, she conducted and supervised a wide variety of projects including concept and product testing, test market tracking and strategic research. Prior to joining AFC, Ms. Long worked as a marketing research analyst in the banking industry where her responsibilities included customer satisfaction research and custom studies. She also has experience in consumer packaged goods from her tenure as a research analyst at Kraft Foods.

Ms. Long graduated from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina where she received a bachelor’s in marketing and finance. She also holds a master’s of market research from the University of Georgia.

Clay Raymer, National Sales Manager
Clay joined Sandelman in the Spring of 2017. He leads all sales efforts and is based out of the Chicago area.

Prior to joining Sandelman as the National Sales Manager, he spent his career in advertising. At agencies in Kansas City - Barkley and Bernstein Rein - he has worked as an Account Executive for a diverse set of brands in industries ranging from consumer packaged goods, health and fitness, insurance, retail and quick service restaurant. Clay is committed to serving new and existing clients at a high level, and providing optimal solutions to fulfill clients' needs.

Dan Brusco, Vice President of Information Services
Mr. Brusco, based in the Dallas area, leads the Sandelman information services group. This team processes all survey results - - from data collection to warehousing to reports to the company’s online analysis tools.

Mr. Brusco has over 30 years’ experience in the information services industry. After graduating from the University of Florida with a computer science degree from the College of Engineering, Brusco worked for Harris Telecommunications and later at Mary Kay Cosmetics developing a fully automated storage and retrieval warehouse for finished goods, from quality control to ongoing maintenance. He spent the next 17 years as a consultant, providing solutions for Tandy (automation project management), LA Sheriff’s Department (data warehouse design), Alcatel (business intelligence solution), Round Rock ISD (education data warehouse) and Coventry Insurance (software development).

Mr. Brusco has designed the Sandelman's data warehouse environment and multidimensional analysis solution, which allows customers to slice and dice Quick-Track and Casual-Track data to uncover information about their customers and their competition.
